Barcode & Shipping Stickers printing, Kolkata

A barcode that does not scan at the receiving dock stops a consignment. Fotoset prints barcode and shipping stickers in Kolkata with controlled bar width, quiet zones and substrate contrast.

Photography, design and artwork, colour scanning, offset printing, lamination and silkscreen printing are all carried out in-house on one site. That single-vendor model is the reason exporters and overseas brands place this work with Fotoset: one purchase order, one plant accountable for the finished item, and no sheets travelling between sub-contractors.

What this item is

  • Self-adhesive labels carrying EAN-13, UPC-A, ITF-14, Code 128 or GS1-128 symbols with human readable text.
  • Outer carton stickers holding article number, size, quantity per carton, gross and net weight, and the buyer's purchase order reference.
  • Sequential and variable data labels where each unit or carton needs a different number.

Typical applications

  • Retail unit barcodes applied to polybags, header cards and boxes
  • Inner and outer carton identification for export shipments
  • Size and article stickers applied at the packing table
  • Shelf-ready and warehouse location labels
  • Overprint and correction labels where a specification changes late

Substrates and stocks available

  • White semi-gloss self-adhesive paper with permanent acrylic adhesive
  • Matt paper for thermal transfer overprint at the packer's end
  • White and clear polyester and polypropylene for damp or oily handling
  • Removable adhesive stock where the label must lift cleanly from a finished product

Size and format range

From 20 x 10 mm article stickers to 210 x 148 mm carton labels, supplied in sheets or on rolls with a stated core and winding direction.

Printing process used

  • Offset and silkscreen printing for the printed field
  • High-resolution barcode imaging with bar width reduction set for the chosen substrate
  • Verification against the print quality grade agreed with the buyer

Finishing options

  • Kiss-cut on sheets or rolls, sprocketed or plain
  • Gloss or matt varnish over the printed area, barcode field left free of high-gloss varnish
  • Sequential numbering and variable data
  • Roll winding to a specified core size and unwind direction

Minimum order quantity and turnaround

Minimum order quantity: to be confirmed. Typical turnaround: to be confirmed. Both are quoted against the specific specification, because they depend on the stock, the number of colours and the finishing. Turnaround is always stated in working days from artwork approval rather than from enquiry.

Artwork requirements and accepted file formats

  • Press-ready PDF, version 1.4 or later, with 3 mm bleed on all four sides and crop marks outside the trim.
  • Native Adobe Illustrator or CorelDRAW files accepted, with fonts converted to outlines and linked images embedded.
  • Images at 300 dpi at final printed size. Line art and barcode artwork supplied as vector wherever possible.
  • Colour built in CMYK. Spot colours called out by Pantone reference in the file and in the purchase order.
  • Die line supplied on a separate named layer, in a spot colour set to overprint, not on the artwork layer.
