Indian export houses and manufacturers
Printing and packaging for Indian exporters, produced and dispatched from Kolkata
Printed hang tags, header cards, barcode stickers, labels, instruction leaflets and cartons for merchandising and procurement teams working to a shipment date. Everything is produced in-house at Fotoset — photography, artwork, colour scanning, offset, lamination and silkscreen — so one order covers the finished item.
Rates
Rates are quoted per item against a stated quantity, board, size, number of colours, lamination and finishing operation. Because printing, lamination, silkscreen and finishing all happen here, the rate carries no inter-factory handling, transport or double margin, which is where a sub-contracted job usually loses its price advantage.
Prices are quoted in INR, exclusive of GST, with GST shown separately on the invoice. A USD note can be added on request where a foreign buyer is being shown the cost.
Minimum order quantities
Minimum quantities are set per item and are being confirmed for publication; they are stated on every quotation. Offset work becomes economic once plate and make-ready cost is spread across a run, so small quantities are usually best grouped: several sizes, several colours or several styles ganged on one sheet at one make-ready.
Turnaround in working days
Turnaround is quoted in working days from written artwork approval, not from the date of enquiry. Repeat orders from unchanged artwork run faster than first orders because pre-press, proofing and die work already exist.
Artwork to delivery
- Send the specification, quantity and required date, with artwork or a physical sample.
- Quotation issued against a stated board, size, colours, lamination and finishing.
- Pre-press check and a query list where anything is ambiguous.
- Proof on the production stock for written approval.
- Printing, lamination or silkscreen, then die-cutting, punching, eyeletting and counting.
- Counted, banded and packed for the packing line, ready for collection or delivery.
GST invoicing and documentation
A GST tax invoice is issued against your GSTIN with the correct HSN classification, so input credit is claimable in the normal way. Delivery challans, packing lists and quantity certificates are issued where your export documentation requires them. Fotoset's own registration details are published in the footer of every page.
Pickup and dispatch from Kolkata
Goods can be collected from the plant at Nihon Appartment, Block-B, 26B Dr. Suresh Sarkar Rd, Kolkata 700014, West Bengal, India, delivered within Kolkata and Howrah, or booked to a transporter for despatch upcountry. For customers in the Kolkata leather and glove cluster, same-day handover of an urgent balance quantity is normal.
Repeat runs and seasonal peaks
Most of the plant's work is repeat business tied to shipment cycles. Retained proofs, approved samples, dies and press records mean a repeat order is placed by reference rather than re-specified from scratch. Where your buying is seasonal, board can be indented and press time reserved in advance of the artwork being finalised.
